The DMM Vertex is a lightweight technical mountaineering axe with modular pick system, for use in a wide variety of winter and alpine environments. The T rated pick and shaft make the Vertex a durable and dependable tool for pretty much anything a Scottish Winter will throw at you. The slight curve on the shaft provides clearance over ice bulges while remaining efficient as a walking axe on less steep terrain.
The Vertex is available with both a hammer or an adze and the modular head allows the changing of picks and switching between hammer and adze. DMM have ensured that the hammer and adze versions of the Vertex weigh the same for balanced swings. This is the perfect all round ice tool to take you up any winter route.
