The Petzl Ride is a superlight dedicated ski axe designed specifically to require the minimum amount of effort to carry with you when touring or freeriding through glacial terrain. With an all steel head it's strong enough to earn your trust and with a slightly curved shaft it is easy to use for a secure purchase on snow slopes.
The pick is tapered to 3mm for better penetration in ice and the 7075 aluminium shaft is a compact 45cm designed to fit inside a pack for improved safety and discretion. This is a perfect axe for having with you for touring and weighing in at only 240g why wouldn't you take it with you?

Purchased as a lightweight extra to use for security in winter conditions. This is unbelievably light, extremely strong and a fraction of the weight of the older axes. Also proven popular with the smaller children when out in winter conditions as an ideal size for them and very easy to handle. A very useful addition to winter kit and especially where weight is a consideration.
