It all began in 1981 in the attic of a small, terraced house in Sheffield where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Hand-stitched and devised with his own ingenious eye, Rab's experience from years spent in the mountains was apparent in his designs, and soon there was popular demand both from friends and the growing local climbing community. Things didn't stop there. Word soon spread, and the Sheffield attic became a factory floor, creating sleeping bags and jackets for customers far and wide.

Rab Nebitron Pro Jacket

The Rab Nebitron Pro is a great option for dealing with the UK's often cold damp environment with it being a synthetically insulated jacket with a water-resistant outer. It is constructed from recycled Pertex Quantum Pro which has a DWR treatment so it sheds light rain. It is totally windproof yet is still very breathable. Recycled Cirrus HL insulation gives many benefits of down although it is synthetic, but unlike others it is not been formed into a sheet, instead it remains a loose, water resistant down-like fibre that expands to form a "cloud of warmth". It will deliver the same warmth for weight as 600 fill power duck down.
