Buffalo is an iconic British brand focussed on performance outdoor clothing for UK conditions.

Founded in Sheffield in the late 1970s by mountaineer Hamish Hamilton Buffalo Double Pile clothing is inspired by how the Inuit kept warm using reversed Buffalo hide clothing. By reversing the hide so that the tips of the fur were in contact with the skin, the Inuit found that moisture laden air was able to circulate and escape through the porous hide.

Fast forward to today and Buffalo Clothing still manufacturing in Sheffield using the same principle, with modern materials. A thick pile fleece lining and windproof Pertex outer. Buffalo Clothing is designed to be used instead of a layering system to keep you warm in even the wettest conditions.
