This is a typical nalgene, it's strong and light and works great on the msr mini works water filter which is why I got this and it fits my needs perfectly. However à "šÃ‚£12 for a water bottle is a bit steep hence 4 stars but it's a one time buy because I can not see this breaking any time soon. I'm very pleased with it.

I've been hearing about Nalgene bottles for ages, but never got round to trying one out. I wish I had sooner. Well made and finished, lightweight and from what I can tell nearly indestructible. The captive lid ensures you wont drop it or put it somewhere safe, and loose it. And the wide mouth design makes it a very easy to use and versatile bottle, and the addition of clearly marked graduations in both ml and oz allow you to use it as a measuring jug too (very handy if you're not sure how many oz's in a litre). Plus, being clear allows you to see how much is in it, unlike the aluminium type. All in, very happy with this bottle, Cheers.

Once you get used to stopping once in a while to drink and not have the on tap bladder systems these are the way to go. I used versions on Mont Blanc summit in the summer and have bought these now as my son and I are hoping to summit Elbrus and Acconcagua in the next 12 months. They are bombproof, easy to clean and tucked in your jacket, don't freeze at altitude. Would highly recommend.

An excellent water bottle, that is light and strong. Easy to tip in energy powders to the wide mouth top and to clean easily too. Also fits our water purification pump for times when the water is not running fresh and plentifully. Happy to have the Facewest branding on it too as they have always proved a brilliant retailer!

For me this is the obvious water bottle choice. Its tough and holds a litre of water and never had one leek on me. The lid is attached to the bottle so you can not loose it. I has a wide mouth so you can get inside to give it a good clean and fill it from a pan without pouring boiling water over you hands. The bottle will not get so hot when you fill it with boiling water that it hurts you hands. Its stays firm when hot and makes a perfect hot water bottle for those cold expedition nights. It can be a bit wide for drinking from but you can get an insert to make the opening smaller.

I bought this water bottle to bring with me on trips and vacations, but I have also used it a lot as an everyday water bottle. I love the great capacity (1 litre), it's very sturdy, feels unbreakable. It's BPA free, which from recent health concerns is rather reassuring. And due to the big opening, it is very easy to clean. It is a little hard to drink from in the beginning, due to the wide mouth opening. The narrow mouth model may be more suitable for everyday use, as it's a little easier to drink from, but I really like the wide mouth model and find it a lot more practical on trips and vacations. But no matter what, it's without a doubt the greatest water bottle I have ever had. Would definitely recommend it.

I purchased the bottle for carrying on longer trips to London via bus as it would be lighter than glass but still BPA free. The bottle has worked perfectly. It does not leak and has not stained even with some strongly colored contents. I also like the tinted sides which may reduce photo-degradation of sensitive nutrients. I still prefer to use glass containers when possible, however, I consider this a reasonable solution when weight is an issue.

The best water bottle there is. (Yes, that was a period)I have used mine for 3 years now, from -35*C degrees in the high Arctic, to +45*C in Greece. I use it all the time, and it newer let me down. Here are a couple of uses found: Cold water (yes, a big surprise, I know :P)Hot teaHot-water-bottle in the bed (Just add a sock around it to prevent burns)Cooking (The measurements on it is really useful)Rolling pinSpecial note for cold places: The big opening is perfect, it does not freeze that easily :DI recommend buying the splash guard as well, as it makes it easy to drink from it, when freezing is not a problem.

These bottles are like the zippo of bottles. They are bombproof, and totally reliable. This is my third Nalgene now, and the others were lost and not broken. In comparison my Sigg bottle fits the side pockets of my pack's better, but then again Sigg bottles get beat up very easily. The worst that has ever happened to my Nalgene bottles is that they get scratched. Great for making hot water bottles with, which is very nice when the temperatures drop below zero. Overalla great bottle, a must for any potential adventurer, climber or hiker. Flawless service as usual from Facewest.

As a nalgene it's the bomb proof quality you expect, but the wide mouth is impractical to actually drink out of so you're obliged to buy a sipper insert to stopyou spilling your drink all over yourself and looking silly, this happens most often when you're wrecked after/during exercise. It'll last forever and the wide mouth is veryhandy for putting ice cubes in, but for day to day use just getthe narrow mouth model.
