The Thermarest NeoAir Topo Luxe is a lightweight camping mat for backpackers who want the ultimate in comfort that's still compact enough to carry on multi day trips. At 10cm thick when inflated the Topo Luxe is thick enough to protect against the lumpiest ground. The Triangular Core Matrix uses two layers of baffles to create a stable, flat sleeping surface so you don't get that sinking feeling which is common with most air mattresses. The regular Topo Luxe weighs just 650g and is compact enough to fit comfortably in a multi day trekking pack, leaving plenty of room for the rest of your kit. For warmth the Topo Luxe uses internal reflective foil to reflect your body heat back up. This technology adds warmth without creating bulk and gives the mat an R-Value of 3.7 making it suitable for 3 season use.
The Topo Luxe is constructed from durable 50 denier Polyester and uses 2 of Thermarest's TwinLock valves. The TwinLock valve system can be opened completely for very rapid deflation, making packing the mat up in the morning much easier. The mat comes with a pump sack so it can be inflated easily, and without blowing warm damp air from your breath into the mat.

Customer Reviews of Thermarest NeoAir Topo Luxe
I've yet to use the mat 'in the field' but I have inflated and tried it out within the home. The quality appears to be there along with comfort. Both valves operate with no issues. However, the acid-test will be when I use this mat 'live' but going on the various reviews I've listened to/read it functions well,
I decided it was time to replace my Thermarest self inflating mattress after years of great service. I chose this one because I wanted the width to accommodate my elbows when lying on my back. The mattress is really light, and easy to inflate using the Pump sack, though I have also invested in a Thermarest, battery operated, tiny air pump, which will do the job while I drink Gin! The mattress is very comfortable, and if you need to adjust, you can just add or take out a bit of air. It deflates really easily, and is easy to pack. My stuff sack was missing from the box, but just one e mail brought a replacement the next day. I was really pleased with prompt delivery and great customer service.
Only used it once but I like it a lot so far. I got an XL because my arms and legs kept falling off my last pad (older thermarest). I used to have to buy an aftermarket thing in the past to save me blowing up by mouth but good to see thermarest include a pump sack now (makes it very easy). Also wry impressed by Facewest. Cheapest I could find for this pad by far at the time.
I absolutely love this pad. There are lighter pads but the comfort is more important for me. It is quite bouncy when fully inflated but I find letting a little air out sorts this. I've read other reviews claiming this is a noisy pad, it's really not when compared to other backpacking sleep pads. I'm a serious turner and twister and this isn't too noisy. It's also super comfy for restless sleepers, even on your side or tummy. It is insulated (3.7 r-value) and used with an additional foam pad (mine is a cheap decathlon roll up) is suitable for an Irish winter. It's the best I've ever slept in a tent.
