Customer Reviews of LT27 Additional Bit Kit
Just about every bit you could ever need - might be better if each one was separate rather than dual ended but that would involve changing every single Leatherman tool which obviously won't happen.
If you're like me and you use your Leatherman (mine's a Juice) as your primary tool on small jobs around the house, and you don't already have the LT26 Bit Driver kit LT24 Bit Driver Extension, both of which accept hexagonal bits, then this is almost a must have. If you already have either of the aforementioned items then you can just use whatever bits you might already have around.
Pros: Solid bits, increases the uses of any Leatherman tool that has a bit driver, each bit contains two tools - just flip 'em around when you need a one size smaller/larger bit.
Cons: If you store the bits in their holders and can't gauge their size with a glance you'll have to pull the bit out to see the size markings. I would personally appreciate size markings on the plastic holsters themselves. Not enough of a con to drop the rating, though.
I was given a Leatherman Wave and decided to take a gamble on the bit kit. I'm pleased that I did and have already made good use. It saves having to carry a load of different tools around and I am ordering the extension. The delivery was excellent.
Purchased this to go with the skeletool.
Quick delivery and all in order.
Great selection of bits - the first task was to fit a new thermal switch on a shower, a combination of cross head and Torx screws, it all went really (really!) well.
The swiss army knife will have to stay in the drawer from now on ...
I purchased this product for my 2012 version of the Leathermann Wave for which it is fully compatible. This bit kit adds extremely useful functionality to an already very useful multi-tool. They are high quality and look excellent as you would expect from Leathermann. They slide in and out of the bit driver easily but are secure enough that they don't fall out when using them. The holder is just about small enough to slide down the back of the multi-tool case that came with the wave (although it does add a bit of bulk). The only area for improvement is that the black coating could be more durable as it scratches off quite easily (this doesn't affect functionality at all).
I ordered the LT27 Bit Kit for my Leatherman Wave. I have had the Wave for sometime and always wanted to purchase the LT27 Bit Kit. So when Facewest had a 10% discount, it was the right time to buy. As with any good web site, buying, notification and delivery from Facewest was both professional and quick. I had the LT27 within a few days.
The LT27 Bit Kit works perfectly with the Wave, as expected, helping make one of the World's best Multi-Tools even more useful. Each bit is double ended and is engraved with the purpose and size, for example PZ2 PZ1 and T25 T20.
Strengths: Many (see above).
Weaknesses: Few, it is expensive at £18.
I would recommend both the LT27 Bit Kit and ordering from Facewest to anyone.
