Customer Reviews of LT24 Bit Driver Extension
The concept of the bit driver extension is excellent and when I bought it I thought the extension would be infallible. The reality was a bit different,... the bit holder accepted the bits without any problem but releasing them was nigh impossible by hand and needed the use of grips to extract the bits. Also it accepted the hex bits easily too, however they sank too far down inside the bit holder and were loose, therefore the LT24 didn't serve its intended purpose unfortunately and had to be returned. There is seemingly a spring or something similar within the bit holder which inst always the best. I'm sure though with Leatherman being the high quality manufacturer that it is, that a review and a future modification to this extension, the problem can be resolved in some way
Prompt service from supplier however on fitting the screwdriver bit supplied with my Leatherman wave it jammed in the extension piece and it resists all efforts to remove it disappointing.
This extension driver makes using the bits much easier. Well made, as all leatherman equipment is.
A must have for anyone who uses the multi tool daily with the tool bits.
This is a must have item if you use a tool with the removable bits, it also accepts standard hex bits.
Useful addition for those times when you need that little bit of extra reach. Just like the LT26 Bit Driver kit, the extension has a tendency of gripping the bit a little bit too tight, but this is not a problem since you already have pliers in hand. The extension doesn't add that much bulk or weight, so if you have the cash to burn might as well go for it.
An earlier reviewer was correct when he said it was difficult to remove some of the bits. I take the extension out and use the Wave pliers.I am finding that the more the bits are used they are easier to remove. However had I been aware that the extension takes hexagon bits I needn't have bought the LT27 Bit Kit.All in all a good addition to the Wave.
