The Black Diamond JetForce Pro is the latest version of Black Diamond's electronic fan inflated avalanche airbag system. Now smaller and lighter than the previous version with some additional Bluetooth capabilities for user software updates. The redesigned pack is low profile and sits lower on your back, resulting in a more comfortable carry position with a lower impact on your balance. Constructed from 210 denier Dynex the Jetforce Pro packs are incredibly durable and will withstand whatever you throw at them in the backcountry.
The JetForce Pro 25L has a versatile amount of storage. If you are heading out into the backcountry for long days then the 25L pack is for you. There's plenty of storage for spare layers, skins, water and food. A dedicated avi gear pocket keeps your shovel and probe separate from the rest of your kit and always at hand. A single ice axe attachment point gives you the option of taking an axe for more technical sections. The leg loop strap which stops the pack being pulled over your head in the event of an avalanche, is retractable and features a carabiner clip for quick attachment to the hip belt.
The JetForce Pro system is unique to Black Diamond and Pieps. It uses a powerful Lithium Ion battery to power a fan for rapid inflation of the large Cordura airbag. The battery is recharged by plugging the pack into a mains electricity supply. This means that the pack can be activated multiple times, for example in training at the start of each season, at almost zero cost. Once the pack is fully charged it can be deployed four times before requiring recharge. On start up the system will perform a self diagnostic test, LED lighting on the handle will indicate its status. The addition of Bluetooth connectivity to connect the system to the Pieps App for system analysis and firmware updates. The deployment trigger has LED charge indicators and can be switched between the left and right shoulder strap.
The JetForce Pro pack system is modular, meaning that you can change the capacity of your pack using the JetForce Pro Booster packs. These are available in 10L 25L and 35L.
