The Hennessy Hammock Snakeskin is an instant stuff sack for your Hennessy hammock. This simple and effective system collapes a full Hammock in a matter of seconds and helps to keep the shelter clean and dry by stopping it from touching the ground.
Snakeskins are two tapering tubes of silnylon material which are threaded on to the ropes at the end of the hammock. When the hammock is in use they sit gathered up at the end of the ropes. When collapsing your hammock the first step is to roll up the hammock and fly then all you need to do is slide the snakeskins over from both sides. The hammock, fly and cords are now held neatly in the snakeskins and the package can be untied and thrown in your pack.

Customer Reviews of Hennessy Snake Skins
Makes packing a Hennessy incredibly easy. Fantastic for quick take downs and ease of packing.
I purchased the snakeskins for a hennessy explorer deluxe hammock, they are very good indeed, keeps hammock nicely packed and makes for easy pitching and packing away. Nice.I could see it being a bit of a pain without them.It deserves a 5 rating.Shame it didn't come with the hammock though?
Works really well in conjunction with the hammock and can pack up and go in minutes. Thank you for another great product
Really love them. Makes set up really fast and easy. The only downside is that it is harder to stuff the snake into the sack. But quick set up is key for me.
A must for hammock owners, easy use, makes for a fast take down/put up of hammock plus protects from contamination from ground when packing kit away.
I've used these for a while now, and I'm still not sure what to think of them...
I liked: They aid pitching the hammock, as well as putting it away. They also keep it dry and free of dirt/thorns should it come into contact with the floor.
I disliked: Using it with the Hennessy Explorer Deluxe, it seemed like a tight fit, and isn't as easy to put on as the DD hammock sleeve. My biggest negative though, is if it rains heavily while the hammock is up, water will travel down the rope and gather inside the Snakeskins. This can be handy to collect water if you're desperate for it, but if you're in a hurry to put your hammock away, water on the inside of your Snakeskins is going to get your hammock wet, and keep it wet until you next get it out.
Quite a flaw, and so far I've not found another way around this. Without these niggles, it's a 5 star product.
Great bit of kit. The Hennessy Snake Skins are perfect for setting up and packing down your hammock in a matter of seconds. This little piece of kit is essential for hammocking and barely adds any weight to the set up. I really love the fact that you can pack away the hammock itself but still have the tarp up, simply brilliant. Small downside is that the two sleeves overlap a lot, but it is easily dealt with and keeps the water mostly out.
Essential to buy with any Hennessey hammock. Allows you to quickly pack and unpack the whole of the hammock set up including the tarp without any flapping about or the hammock touching the ground. They easily slide along the length of the hammock and are really easy to use.
It is also quite difficult to pack up hammocks or tents as well as the manufacturers do. The Snake Skin will solve all this by ensuring that you can set up or collapse your hammock tightly within a matter of minutes.
You need to install these with your hammock the very first time. Once you've done that just wrap up your hammock and tarp while still hanging to the trees, pull the snake skins around like a sleeve and job done! Untie, from trees and pack up.
The next time you use your hammock tie it to trees again, pull the snake skins outwards and your camp is set.
If you buy the Hennessay Hammock these Snake Skins will make the experience even more enjoyable. They are the absolute and indispensable complement.
