    Full Description

Patagonia Men's PowSlayer Pants are built for serious backcountry skiers, splitboarders, and mountain professionals demanding peak performance in the harshest alpine conditions. Designed for deep powder missions and long days on the skintrack, these pants feature a lightweight yet ultra-durable 3-layer GORE-TEX ePE Pro shell made from 100% recycled nylon with a rugged ripstop backer. Completely waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable, the PowSlayer Pants are bluesign approved and made in a Fair Trade Certified factory, ensuring both environmental and social responsibility. The fabric, membrane, and DWR finish are all free from intentionally added PFAS, providing sustainable weather protection without compromise. Whether you're bootpacking steep couloirs or traversing high ridgelines, the PowSlayer is engineered to keep you dry and moving confidently.

GORE-TEX is now a totally PFC free waterproof membrane designed by Gore to be more sustainable and cut out harmful long chain 'forever chemicals' found in normal PTFE waterproof membranes. The ePE membrane is a thinner than older GORE-TEX and GORE-TEX PRO, which results in a softer and more supple feel. It doesn't have the same stiff 'cardboardy' feel as older Gore membranes. The biggest performance difference you are most likely to notice is the DWR treatment. Unfortunately flurocarbons are some of the best, most hydrophobic chemicals out there. Getting rid of them does hit performance so you will notice that the nice 'beading' effect disappears quite quickly. Don't worry your GORE-TEX jacket is still waterproof, but to maintain the beading effect you will need to top up the DWR more regularly.

The PowSlayer Pants pack a punch when it comes to technical features. Articulated patterning ensures unrestricted movement whether you're ascending or descending, while the low-profile zippered side vents deliver maximum ventilation on high-output climbs. A watertight Vislon® zippered fly with double-snap closure, grown-on belt loops, and internal elastic adjusters allow for a secure, customized fit. Bellowed cargo pockets with coated zippers provide ample storage without adding bulk, and internal gaiters with elastic shock cords seal out snow to keep your legs dry. Reinforced scuff guards protect high-wear areas, and a concealed RECCO reflector enhances avalanche rescue capabilities (please note that RECCO is no replacement for a proper transceiver). With a 32" inseam and minimalist, packable design, the PowSlayer Pants offer top-tier performance in an ultralight alpine shell.
