The Mammut Eiswand Guide Jacket is a robust, durable, very versatile and warm mid-layer made from high-quality Pontetorto Merino Tecnowool, used for its smooth finish outer and internal waffle structure for comfort and temperature regulation. It has excellent breathability thanks to thin mesh material under the arms and the antibacterial effect of the wool, which limits unpleasant odors. The Eiswand Guide Jacket can also be used as an outer layer and as an insulating layer underneath a weatherproof jacket.
The Eiswand Guide Jacket features flat seams for a high level of comfort and to avoid chafing under the backpack. The main zipper is YKK Vislon which runs smoothly. The zipped chest pocket is bonded to the body of the jacket and is useful for small items you want close to hand. There are two hand warmer pockets which sit high so they do not interfere with a harness. Two internal pockets made from elastic mesh material. The cuffs are elasticated and feature flat thumb loops.
