I went for this set over others because I didn't need the knife. My ordinary cooking knife is fine to eat with. These are very lightweight, but stronger than they look. I take them on every trip. I used to use a spork, but it's much easier to eat soup or rehydrated meals with a proper spoon.

They feel like a very premium product, but the wire connector that comes with it looks cheap and nasty. I immediately changed it for a small carabiner to keep it out of way when I'm not using it, as well as to hand when I do need it. They're also very easy to clean, and I've not had any problems washing off super hot curry.

Forget about the plastic ones, If you want cutlery that will last forever try the titan fork and spoon. Weights nothing and is unbreakable. You only need to replace it if you lose it. Definitely it will last more than you do.
