Exped Black Ice 45

The Exped Black Ice is a great minimalist 45 litre pack for fast and light use in the mountains. The 820g streamlined design is excellent for climbing, where excess straps and features can often end up getting snagged. The Black Ice pack is made from a waterproof TPU laminated, 400 denier Ripstop Nylon. The seams of the pack are also taped for 100% waterproof performance, making it an excellent choice for winter mountaineers and ice climbers.

The inside of the Black Ice pack is bright white which assists with visibility when rooting around in the pack for gear. On the outside of the pack are daisy chains for attaching excess gear or bungee cords, and two loop ice axe carry points. There is also an external water resistant zipped pocket for guide books, maps and other essentials that you need quick access to. The roll top closure can be clipped back into itself as per a traditional roll top, or can be fastened down to the side lash points using carabiners (not included) when there is less gear in the pack to keep the profile small.
