Very good and small bottle. Beautiful, durable and practical. Ideal for mountain walking.
I bought this bottle to replace my Camelbak bottle that I lost in forest. I feel bad for the forest and hope someone found/finds my old bottle :) This bottle has same kind of genius filling system that my Cb but this one is almost 50% cheaper and works just as well. It even has better and more accurate measuring system for the amount of water which is very handy for example when you want to know exactly how much you've been drinking and it's good to have also when cooking food in hiking expedition. BPA-free bottle is always a good thing, I think. I use this as my everyday drinking bottle and I will also take it as a secondary water source to my hikes besides my 3 liter bladder. This bottle is easy and fast to fill and empty. You won't lose the cork. It is very durable also.
Come on in, the water's lovely.
Fed up of wide mouth nalgene lids breaking? this seems stronger, so hopefully it won't break.
I purchased this Nalgene Tritan Narrow Mouth Bottle for everyday use. Going to work in the car etc. (As I drink a lot of water during the day). It is extremely reliant and robust, e.g. dropping it on the payment, and it's totally fine. I was concerned about drinking bottled water from the super markets with bisphenol A in the plastic. This product is BPA free. So no concerns there. Also good to keep an eye on how much you're drinking. This bottle is 32 oz's (1 Litre). I have used many water bottles over the years, (gym, walking etc) and this is the best by far. Very reasonable price from Facewest, and excellent dispatch time. Great service all round.
I have had a number of different water bottles over the years, but was never completely happy with any of them, that is until I bought these Nalgene bottles.
They are incredibly light, feel very well made and don't have any plastic aftertaste. I went for the narrow mouth as I felt it would be more convenient. I generally use them for work, days out etc so wasn't worried about the 'water filter' attachment capability of the wide-mouth one.
All in all a great purchase, I plan to buy a couple of the 500ml ones as well.
I own both a narrow mouth and a wide mouth Nalgene bottle and this is easily my favourite. My wide mouth bottle serves a greater range of uses especially for filtering but this is the easiest for drinking out of. I often pre filter using the wide mouth and a piece of cloth and then pump the water through a filter into the narrow mouth. This process seems to work really well. Really I'd recommend both, but this one will always come out on tops as it's much easier to drink from especially on the move. Really tough bottles that can take abuse.
I use this bottle more or less on every trip I ever go on. The markings on the side are extremely useful for boiling the right amount of water for noodles or other dehydrated foods. I also use it to filter water with Oasis water purification tablets, as they purify 1 litre of water at a time. You really can't go wrong with a Nalgene bottle. I have never heard a bad word about them, and mine has been through the wars whilst still looking more or less brand new. (minus a few cosmetic scratches which don't influence the performance whatsoever) Recommended for everyone!
It's a great bottle, I use it for bringing water to college every day. (I picked the 1L). It's light and more importantly it closes pretty tightly so there's no great danger of it leaking water in my bag and destroying books/electronics. The only bottles I can compare it too are just reusing plastic water bottles from the shop which wasn't really a good idea. If you're environmentally minded you can always say that you are lessening your impact on the environment by reusing. The only reason I bought it was to stop me spending silly money on water and using a crappy bottle that only gets used a few times.
I found previously with a aluminium bottle I had before there would be a lot of condensation on the outside of the bottle after filling it up with cold tap water in the morning, haven't had that happen yet.
Only con is it's not hands free, it wont replace a hydration pack but it's always good to have a back up water bottle if you're hiking or whatnot.
Excellent product - bought the 1 litre bottle. Although I only wanted this for water, I have also used it for other fluids and there is no taint when used for water afterwards. It's tough, leak proof and easy to use whilst walking. Will now be purchasing the 500ml for use on the cycle. Oh, and great service from Facewest.
There are water bottles and there is the Nalgene [Tritan] bottle, it is not indestructible [is anything?] but it will accept boiling liquid, it can freeze, it will not leak in your pack, it does not weigh much, neither will it taint what is in there. It is the best all-round water bottle that I have used.
If it is anything it is dependable.
