The Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated is a superlight camping mat for those looking for the absolute maximum warmth for the lowest weight and smallest packsize. Starting at just 539g the Rapide SL Insulated will take up very little space in your pack and with an R-Value of 4.2 it offers reliable 3 season performance allowing for pretty much year round use in the UK. At 9cm thick it's also surprisingly comfortable for a mat in its weight class.
The mat is inflated using the provided upcycled pad inflation sack, this is easily operated/connected to the valve and fills the mat rapidly. It also doubles up as a lightweight stuff sack for the mat. The high volume valves with micro adjustments make for fast inflation/deflation and easy fine tuning to your preferred firmness.
The Rapide SL Insulated uses durable, superlight nylon double ripstop fabric with incredibly strong TPU welded baffles. The use of Primaloft Silver insulation makes it one of the quietest insulated mats on the market.

Very satisfied. Really comfy yet light. Long enough for me (I'm 6 foot) and keeps me warm. Use it with my quilt and it is great. Recommended.

Roll mat if great. Very thick so is comfortable, warm being insulated, my only gripe is that it is not wide enough. I know there is the option for the wider model but I think the price you are paying it seems unfair that it isn’t wide enough already. This seems like a money grabbing opportunity by big agnes in my eyes. Would recommend though

Absolutely superb sleep mat. I used this for a recent trip to Wales for 6 nights and it held up all the way without the need for a top-up. The thickness is bang on and the width about right without me rolling off. Love the free inflation sack, took approx. 9 fills to inflate the pad. Quality seems top-notch although time will tell.
So far, so good and really impressed with the comfort and the weight.

The Big Agnes has served me well on numerous wild camps in the past few months and has kept me warm due to its relatively high R rating!
Packs small and doesn’t weigh anything in comparison to some other sleeping mats!
Would highly recommend! (Oh and makes zero noise when moving at night)

great mattress. bought 4 in total now for the whole family - all extra long, with 2 being regular and 2 wide versions for flexibility. not tried in cold weather yet, but overall great substitute for our previous sets. comfortable with medium inflation and easy to pack away as well without too much hassle. great service from FaceWest as well.

I purchased the Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated in regular wide. The mat has brilliant for wild camps, very comfy, and very easy to deflate after use. The included inflation bag works well, and is made from the same durable materials as the pad itself. The sleeping pad is the most comfiest pad I've used to date. I have previously owned various premium pads, including Exped down mats, and Sea to summit, however, this is sleeping mat is warm, comfy and has a nice compact size.
Customer service at Facewest is awesome, kept informed and updated from start to finish. I would 100% recommend this sleeping mat & company, and would definitely order again.

THE MAT I SHOULD HAVE ORIGINALLY BOUGHT. After camping for several years and trying endless products, most of which fell short of expectation whether it be quality or durability I finally have faith and confidence in this product. I've used it on several occasions on nights which are well below freezing and with none of that dreaded feeling of cold coming through from below, added to this it is very quiet with the bonus of the slightly raised sides keeping you central on the mat. It takes about 16 bags of air to blow up the mat which is easily done in a couple of minutes. Can't recommend this product enough.

One of the best sleeping pads on the market. Great quality material and thicker than your average Premier inn mattress. Packs remarkably small given the thickness and so should be a given choice for any backpacker that values a great nights sleep. Some draw backs against the competition would be that its slightly on the heavy side and inflation sack is not up to much bit these draw backs fall into insignificance. Buy it. . you'll love it.
