Full Description
The Mountain Equipment FireFly is the lightest bag in the Extreme Light Range. The very best 900 fill power down and the lightest construction methods combine to give high quality/lightweight bag for mountain use. The Firefly is the perfect sleeping buddy for the ultra weight concious and is ideal for nights in the high mountains during the late Spring and Summer.
The Plasma outer is amazingly lightweight, breathable and tear resistant. Its the lightest downproof fabric around keeping the Russian Goose Down securely in place. The bag has an Alpine fit that is slightly more tapered in the upper body/leg areas so it minimises weight and enhances thermal performance.
The FireFly features weight saving slanted box-wall baffle construction throughout the main body. Ground level seams on the bag means that the top sheet wraps right over your body, increasing insulation. The foot of the bag uses a four baffle trapezium shape to keep weight and bulk to a minimum whilst restricting down migration. Throughout the top half of the bag the lining utilises EXL elasticated stitching on the baffles to hug the bag close to your body, increasing thermal efficiency, loft and comfort. The hood is constructed of seven baffles to provide excellent insulation. The neck baffle on this range is significantly lighter than other models to save on that all important weight, yet it still remains thermally efficient.

Please note Extreme temperatures are at the point of danger to health. With extremely light and air permeable fabrics, the EN13537 test standard is a poor indicator of thermal performance with these bags especially at temperature below -6°C.
