A silk liner is the ideal way to add a bit of low volume warmth to your sleeping bag and also to keep a regularly used bag clean. The Cocoon bag liners use high quality silk which is the optimum fabric for minimizing packing size and weight. This mummy liner weighs only 135g, packs to a tiny size and adds about 5-6° C to the temperature rating of your bag. Silk is soft against your skin and responds well to changing temperatures - it feels cool in the summer and is warm in the winter. Silk mummy liners are easy to hand or machine wash and dry quickly. The silk liner is very versatile because you can chose wether to use it or not, or even use it without your sleeping bag in warm environments or dubious conditions.

The Coccon Silk Liner is also a must have for the ski tourer. It takes away the itch factor when using WWII blankets in French huts and to have one is compulsory in Swiss Huts.

Product - 10 star review if it could be given. Definitely adds a season or a significant amount of warmth to the sleeping bag already owned. What lets it down here is the price as I have seen many silk liners for much less. However if a serious expeditionist, this is a very useful bit of kit. Much easier to wash than the whole sleeping bag (if synthetic) and ESSENTIAL if you own a downs bag. As I say, only let down is the price.

I bought these for myself and wife at the beginning of the season as I was worried that our 3 season bags wouldn't be up to high altitude camping in the Lake District.

The liners weigh practically nothing, take up almost no pack room and feel great against the skin. I've started to leave mine in my sleeping bag stuffsack when packing, otherewise they can be difficult to find when groping around in a rucksack in the dark!

They definitely add warmth, their main claim to fame, and help to keep your sleeping bag clean if you sleep in your clothes on very cold nights.

All in all these are a relatively cheap way to uprate a sleeping bag which is a little underpowered for the conditions.

I purchased this cocoon silk mummy liner. Itas much more pleasant than my other liner which was a cotton liner.
It´s lighter, it´s smaller and it´s perfect for winter and even for summer.
A great buy.

I purchased the Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner back in December, its light comfortable, adds a couple of degrees to your bag in winter, and amazingly feels cooler in the summer.
On top of that the bag helps maintain the freshness of my down bag, the cocoon is easy to care for and a great buy.
