Rab Borealis Jacket

This is my second Borealis, so yes Iam a fan. With technical garments like this your expectations need to be realistic ie what do you want it to do?( As far as I know the one jacket that does it all is yet to be developed.)The Borealis is a very comfortable , stretchy light weight wind protector which breathes well. It gives little rain cover, but you can wear it all day on breezy days either over a base layer/and or light fleece and you won't know you're wearing it. Keep it in your rucksack at all times, but if the weather looks bad don't forget the hard shell

I bought this for the cooler days and nights when mountain biking. I's proved just about right with a baselayer or heavier mid layer below and with the high zip neck it keeps the cold out. ,Size medium- 5'11 and 13st 2.,Impressed so far!

I order the yellow jacket. It is VERY visible!,It is extremely light and feels fragile; time will tell how it stands wear, of which it should get a lot when the summer heat with strong winds can give rise to a need to be protected from the cooling effects of the wind when I stop.

Great lightweight jacket. I use the jacket for climbing and walking in summer. Keeps the wind off and packs very small. FYI this is not shower proof so you will need a water proof jacket

Excellent lightweight windproof jacket. Comfortable and practical, I have used it for walking and cycling (bright orange colour is great) Pockets will take a standard OS map - very useful.
