Rab Latok Mountain Tent

The Rab Latok Mountain Tent is a two person, single skin waterproof shelter. Designed for multi night use on fast and light, multi day alpine missions and high mountain base camps. The Latok Mountain is made from waterproof and breathable Pertex Shield Air fabric. This 15 denier ripstop fabric is durable and lightweight with a 15,000mm Hydrostatic head which is higher than most standard tent fly sheets and a breathability of 20,000g/m/24hours which is comparable with a waterproof jacket. This ensures that there is not an excessive moisture build up, which is further aided by the draw cord closure vent. The base is much tougher 70 denier nylon with a waterproof PU coating.

The Latok Mountain features a large zipped entry at the top end so occupants can enter and exit without climbing over each other. The DAC Featherlite NSL poles are pitched internally and for stability in high winds there are 6 oversized peg points and 7 guy lines. There are also 'donut' tie-in loops on the roof and sides for attachment to a belay anchor.

Weighing just 1935g the Latok Mountain is a super light shelter for a team of two on a fast and light mission. What it lacks in comfort and internal space it makes up for in weight and pack size. It is quite a specialised piece of kit that is not designed for day in day out use around a campsite.
