The Patagonia DAS Light Pants are packable, ultralight belay trousers built for spindrift and stormy bivies, using warm-when-wet PlumaFill synthetic insulation inside a weatherproof, recycled nylon shell. Designed for alpine climbing, mountaineering and ski touring where every gram counts, full side zips make these trousers easy to pull on and off over boots and crampons. The PFAS-free DWR finish and Fair Trade Certified build make this a genuinely essential layer for long, committing alpine routes and cold belays. It layers easily beneath a waterproof shell for ski touring and mountaineering, or works as a warm standalone piece for everyday cold-weather wear around the UK.
Full-length side zippers provide easy on and off while wearing boots and crampons, and elastic cuffs hold the trousers in place over mountaineering or touring boots. Innovative internal quilting stabilises and maximises the loft of the PlumaFill insulation for genuine leg warmth, while an elasticated waistband with a zip fly and snap closure keeps things simple.
