The Outdoor Research Revel Shell XT Mitt is a fully taped, waterproof alpine overmitt built to protect your hands when the weather turns. Made from bluesign® approved 3-layer 70D ripstop fabric, with 44% recycled nylon, it blocks rain, snow and wind while staying breathable, lightweight and quick drying. The tough ripstop weave shrugs off abrasion from ropes, ice axes, trekking poles and technical kit, making these mitts a smart choice for mountaineering, ski touring and wet-weather mountain days. Roomy enough to layer over your favourite insulated winter gloves and liners, the mitt features an anti-slip silicone palm print for confident grip, a cinchable gauntlet to seal out spindrift, and a bonded elastic wrist ladder for a secure, flexible fit. A pull-on loop, glove clip and removable leash keep them close at hand, while the updated 2026 fabric and design adds refined performance. At just 105g, they pack down easily as essential emergency or storm-day protection.
