The Osprey Firn 28 is the perfect Ski Mountaineer's pack. The Firn enables quick transitions between skinning, scrambling and descending. With a vest-style fit, an ambidextrous ski lasso system for stowing skis without taking the pack off, alpine-specific features and a flexible, snow-shedding backpanel. The main body of the pack is made from a durable 100% recycled 210D nylon.
The close-to-body harness is inspired by running packs and features organisational pockets for food, soft flask, a headlamp or tech. A one-handed direct-access crampon pocket can be used to store ski crampons or skins for quick access without removing the pack. There is a dedicated avi safety gear pocket that will hold a standard shovel and probe. The front vest pockets are large enough to hold a phone, however if you are wearing a transceiver in a standard chest harness your phone should be stored in the main pack compartment away from the transceiver.
