The Ortovox Probe 240 is a basic avalanche probe designed to be easy to use and good value. It has a low weight of 240g. Simple but adjustable cord locking system. Large diameter tip makes it easy to push in and pull out of hard snow. Depth markers along the entire length make it easy to estimate victim butial depth. The Probe 240 is not durable enough for regular use but perfectly adequate for those not using it on a weekly basis.
