The Trollveggen Dri2 Down800 Zip Hood is Norrøna's warmest, most durable down jacket, purpose-built for belaying in cold, wet conditions during winter climbing and mountaineering, and equally at home ski touring or facing down harsh alpine weather. The 40D recycled nylon main fabric is reinforced with 6% Vectran ripstop for exceptional tear strength, while Norrøna's dri2 hydrophilic PU membrane delivers a 20,000mm waterproof rating with genuine breathability, backed by a PFC-free DWR finish. Inside, 800 fill-power grey duck down (RWS & GRS certified) with ExpeDry treatment provides serious warmth-to-weight performance even when damp, making this a true technical belay jacket rather than a casual insulator, engineered to perform when conditions turn hostile on the mountain.
Built with a technical, articulated fit for freedom of movement, this down jacket features strategic second insulation—Thermo80 and Thermo160 synthetic panels—at the shoulders, elbows, cuffs and rear hem, boosting durability and warmth in high-wear, high-exposure zones. A helmet-compatible hood, napoleon chest pocket, two mid-mountain hand pockets and oversized stretch dump pockets keep essentials accessible over a harness or pack. Elasticated cuffs with internal stretch inners lock out drafts, while the fully adjustable hem cinches from inside the pockets for a sealed fit. Longer in the back for extra coverage, with box-wall construction to prevent down shift.
