The Norrona Lyngen Thermo100 Active Zip Hood is Norrona's most breathable insulated jacket, engineered specifically for ski touring and high-output mountain missions where regulating body temperature is everything. Weighing just 388g in a men's Large, this lightweight midlayer uses a 20d recycled nylon ripstop face fabric (44g/m2) that's bluesign and GRS certified, striking a smart balance between wind resistance and breathability. Two distinct knitted insulation types, both 100% recycled PES, both bluesign and GRS approved are mapped strategically across the body for optimal warmth-to-weight performance. Placed at the body, sleeves, hood and sides, this dual-insulation setup delivers excellent moisture management and dynamic thermal regulation.
Built with a technical, athletic fit, the Lyngen Thermo100 hood features a beanie-compatible hood for helmet or hat layering, plus a front zip with chin guard protection for added comfort against zip chafe. Storage comes via one zipped chest pocket and two zippered hand-warmer pockets, while elasticated cuffs and hem seal out drafts and lock in warmth. Articulated sleeves support unrestricted movement on technical terrain, and a dropped back hem provides extra coverage when bent forward. An internal hang loop makes storage simple. Lightweight, packable and technically engineered.
