The Norrøna Falketind Flex1 Pants are the lightest and most breathable softshell mountaineering trousers in the Falketind range, built to perform across all four seasons. The main fabric is a premium flex1 softshell, a 200g/m² (90 denier) double-weave blend of 69% recycled polyamide, 19% recycled polyester and 12% elastane, chosen for its exceptional stretch, durability, wind resistance, breathability and moisture management. A PFC-free DWR finish adds reliable water repellency without compromising the fabric's eco credentials. Whether you're scrambling ridgelines, fast-hiking exposed terrain or touring on skis, these pants move with you, offering the freedom of movement and climate control demanding alpine objectives require, without unnecessary bulk or weight.
Thoughtful design details set the Falketind Flex1 Pants apart on the hill. A Custom-Fit waist system delivers a secure, adjustable fit, while mesh-lined thigh venting from hip to knee dumps excess heat on the approach. Storage comes via two zippered hand pockets, a zippered back pocket and a zippered thigh pocket, keeping essentials secure through technical movement. Articulated knees and a gusseted crotch support unrestricted vertical motion, and the adjustable lower leg — complete with zip, gusset and hidden gaiter hook — fits neatly over hiking boots or light touring boots. Belt loops allow further customisation. At just 426g (size L), this is lightweight, high-performance mountaineering kit built to last.
