The Nemo Switchback Insulated is a classic closed cell foam mat, updated with modern materials and construction. It offers a surprising amount of comfort, warmth and pack-ability while remaining almost indestructible. Made from Axiotomic dual-density foam that is layered to provide comfort, compression and abrasion resistance. A metallized thermal reflective film reflects heat back to your body and is protected by a durable film, providing an R-Value of 2.

The hexagonal nesting pattern allocates more space for taller, wider nodes, providing significantly greater thickness and therefore more insulation from the ground. Taller nodes also create more space for uncompressed sleeping bag insulation, trapping more warmth around your body. Use the Switchback as a standalone pad for ultralight durability or pair with another pad for extra insulation and comfort in extreme cold conditions, and protect your inflatable pad from sharp rocks.
