Description

The Mountain Equipment Jokla Jacket is a lightweight down jacket built from windproof DRILITE LOFT 20D outer fabric with a DWR finish, filled with 200g (size L) of 90/10 800 fill power goose down. This premium down, combined with a heat-reflective internal scrim, gives the Jokla exceptional warmth for its weight without the bulk of a heavier insulated jacket, making it ideal for cold belays, winter hillwalking and high-altitude mountaineering. A dual-layer offset baffle construction eliminates cold spots at the seams, delivering the freedom of movement of a narrow baffle down jacket with none of the usual drawbacks, so it performs as well on technical alpine ground as it does around camp in freezing conditions, making it a genuinely versatile piece of winter mountain kit.

Feature-wise, the Jokla is built for serious mountain use. The Insulated Mountain HC Hood and insulated collar are helmet compatible for added protection on exposed ridgelines, while a 2-way YKK Vislon front zip with an insulated baffle removes draughts down the front. Two zipped hand warmer pockets and a chest pocket keep essentials to hand, and an inner zipped security pocket plus a large internal mesh pocket give secure storage for valuables or spare gloves. Elasticated cuffs and dual-tether hem drawcords let you dial in a precise, wind-sealed fit whatever layers you're wearing beneath. At 540g, this is a genuinely dependable down jacket for cold mountain days.
