Mountain Equipment Firelite

The Mountain Equipment Firelite is the warmest to lightweight ratio bag in the Extreme Light Range. The very best 900 fill power down and the lightest construction methods combine to give a high quality/lightweight bag for mountain use. The Firelite is the perfect night time companion for ultra light trips in the high mountains during the summer and at lower altitudes in the Spring and Autumn.

The Plasma outer is amazingly lightweight, breathable and tear resistant. Its the lightest downproof fabric around keeping the Russian Goose Down securely in place. The bag has an Alpine fit 2.0that is slightly more tapered in the upper body/leg areas so it minimises weight and enhances thermal performance.

The FireLite features weight saving slanted box-wall baffle construction throughout the main body. Ground level seams on the bag means that the top sheet wraps right over your body, increasing insulation. The foot of the bag uses a four baffle trapezium shape to keep weight and bulk to a minimum whilst restricting down migration. Throughout the top half of the bag the lining utilises EXL elasticated stitching on the baffles to hug the bag close to your body, increasing thermal efficiency, loft and comfort. The hood is constructed of seven baffles to provide excellent insulation. The neck baffle on this range is significantly lighter than other models to save on that all important weight, yet it still remains thermally efficient.
