The Eiger Free Light IN Vest is the perfect packable layering piece for ski touring, bootpacking and mountaineering. The 20-denier Pertex® Quantum Air outer fabric is wind-resistant and highly breathable, keeping you protected from gusts on exposed ridgelines while venting heat during high-output climbs. Pertex® Diamond Fuse technology boosts abrasion and water resistance for genuine durability on rough alpine terrain, while dope-dyed ripstop yarn cuts water consumption in production. Inside, 100% recycled LOOPINSULATION, made from industrial rope offcuts and rPET delivers reliable insulation without bulk or overheating.
Practical detailing makes this vest as functional as it is technical. A smooth-running YKK Vislon® front zipper offers easy on/off, while two large flap-covered front pockets and a zipped chest pocket, complete with an internal gear loop, keep essentials secure on the move. That chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack, compressing the vest down for minimal-fuss packing between layers. A one-sided hem adjustment lets you fine-tune fit and seal out drafts, and at just 190g, it barely registers in your pack. Designed with repairability in mind, it includes a patch kit for quick fixes plus a center-front zip built for easy servicing.
