The Blue Ice Akila LT Adze is the compact, ski-specific sibling of the acclaimed Akila ice axe, purpose-built for mountaineers and ski tourers who demand efficiency without compromise. Sharing the same technical, precision-engineered head as the full-length Akila, this shorter 43cm shaft slots neatly into your pack for streamlined glacier travel and steep slope skiing. The diagonally cut shaft base doubles as a reliable spike, while the integrated leash hole adds security on exposed terrain. A lightweight tech pommel delivers a versatile trigger rest, giving you confident grip and control during technical winter climbing pitches, complemented by a dual-textured grip for enhanced handling in all conditions. Constructed from durable chromoly steel, aluminium and nylon, and weighing just 290g, this ice axe meets CE/EN 13089 and UIAA 152 safety standards. Designed and assembled in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, pick and adze protectors are included as standard.
