    Description

The Thermarest Womens Prolite Plus is a superb self inflating mattress providing four-season insulation along with excellent comfort. A combination that make the Prolite PLus one of our most popular self-inflating mattresses as it offers enough warmth for snowholing and winter camping but is light enough for backpacking, trekking and travel use.

The Atmos urethane foam has holes cut into it to lower the overall density and weight of the Prolite Plus. In this latest version of the mat theses are cut at an angle. This has the effect of decreasing the air flow between the ground and the top of the mattress but still keeping the weight to a minimum along with excellent ability to be compressed. The WingLock valve system has a large opening for rapid one way inflation so no air is lost. The WingLock valve also features deflation 'wings' so the mat can be deflated and rolled up easily. The outer 50 denier Polyester fabrics are tough and durable with the addition of Rip-stop on the upper side.

Good weight and thickness. I previously had a Prolite 3 and always felt it was a little thin, so the Prolite Plus was the obvious upgrade for an expedition mat, but the Women's spec meant reducing weight as it is a smaller mat. I would say though, if I was a taller or broader woman (I'm 5'5) i would probably choose the unisex version, as my feet are off the end of the mat and I am compensating by putting my rucksack/drybag under my feet.

Compact and light so good for backpacking and other sports where weight and bulk are at a premium. The mat is a good length but it is quite narrow. Comfortable and seems really durable. Looking forward to using this on my upcoming camping adventures! Good price from Facewest, especially with the free chair kit.
