The Thermarest Permanent Home Repair Kit uses fabric patches and repair adhesive for a durable and permanent repair. The kit come with a full set of instructions and the repair has a 24 hour cure time, so it's not ideal for use in the field.

After several years of regular use, my Thermarest had developed a small puncture near the valve, so that it gradually deflates overnight. This repair kit does exactly what is required and I now have a fully funtioning air bed again. The repair kit is easy to use, but you would struggle to make a repair using this kit in a field as you need to leave the glue 22 hours to set. I used a small hand clamp to apply pressure during this time and the bond is rock solid. I have given this product 5 stars as it has given my Thermarest a new lease of life for a fraction of the price of a replacement. Just remember it is for home use only.

I needed this for a permanent 'at home' repair to a punctured Thermarest. The obvious patch I used worked perfectly. My only criticism is that there were several other items in the repair kit to which no reference or instructions were given. I still have no idea exactly what they were for. They included pre-injection medical swabs designed to sterilize your skin before an injection. Bizarre!
