The Ortovox Pro Light Shovel is an effective yet lightweight and packable rescue tool for dedicated ski tourers. The telescopic aluminium shaft has a rapid closure allowing it to be quickly adjusted to the needs of the situation.
The offset T grip is reversible for left/right handers and offers excellent power transfer. The blade is hardened, anodized aluminium and has step grooves at the top to give grip for your foot, a sharp blade and high sidewalls for rigidity and a large volume. Notches in the blade have been added to save weight and these are also suitable to use as attachment points allowing the shovel to be used as a snow anchor or rescue sled.
