Full Description
The Ortovox Alu 240 is a basic avalanche probe designed to be easy to use and good value. It has a low weight of 200g. Simple but adjustable cord locking system. Large diameter tip makes it easy to push in and pull out of hard snow. Depth markers along the entire length make it easy to estimate victim butial depth. The Alu 240 is not durable enough for regular use but perfectly adequate for those not using it on a weekly basis.

Very light weight but I wasn't keen on the locking method so exchanged for a black diamond tour 280 which has a very good locking method.
