The Ortovox Alu 240 Light is a lightweight and well featured probe for the weight conscious. It features a quick assembly strap and quick lock assembly system allowing it to be assembled in seconds. Large diameter tip, slightly larger than shaft diameter, makes it easy to push in and pull out of hard snow. Depth markers along the entire length make it easy to guage depth to victom for more efficient shovelling. The Alu 240 Light has 7 sections rather than the usual 6 for a 240 probe which gives a shorter folded length . Ideal for smaller packs.
