Description

The Leatherman Skeletool has been designed to be a paired down tool that is a lot lighter than other full sized Leathermans. The concept is to include only the tools that are most used in the range and to minimise the housing, this includes drilled out handles.

The tools include needle nose pliers and a part serrated knife that will deal with most tasks. Included are two double ended bits, one Philips and one Flat.

Please note: engraving is not currently available on this tool.

Love this tool. Its nice and light compared to the Wave. You wont notice it in your pocket. It has all the tools that you need. The 2 types of screwdrivers are handy. The blade is very sharp out of the box. Id recommend it over the wave. Its a pity they only lasermark the blade. I got mine lasermarked at work. There is enough space on the side with the belt clip to laser mark your name.

If this had been any other brand I would have given 4 but for Leatherman I was a bit disappointed. The blade on the skeletool stiff and feels like it's grinding open (I have heard that this all but disappears over time). The free style scissors are not as tight as they should be, I used them to clip my fingernails and the mostly crimped of the nail instead of cutting it. Apart from those things, both the tools are both great. Very small and and light. However, I would recommend the style ps over the cs.

This is by far my favourite Leatherman to date, because it has only the bits I need plus a belt loop clip and an easy to access knife.

Love this tool! Has the essential tools you really need in a tricky situation! The knife blade is of a good length so it can be actually useful, while the pliers are strong, and the body is very tough and can take harsh treatment. Very lightweight and has 4 different screwdriver bits. Only one problem with this product - it doesn't have a dedicated tin opener! However still a great multi tool, which isn't packed with loads of other smaller tools that get in the way, as with most multi tools.

Really impressed with this item straight out of the box. As an engineering lecturer, I wanted a compact tool to carry out basic adjustments oflaboratory equipment, strip wire, etc. The Skeletool is perfect for this application - the pliers are particularly well-engineered and probably better than cheaper, fixed-purpose equivalents. The screwdriver bits are of similar quality (i. e. excellent). The karabiner-type clip is also very useful. A word of warning, the action of the Skeletool is stiff to begin with, but this will doubtless become smoother with use, and is preferable to it becoming loose and rattly with extended use. In summary, a very high-quality item at an excellent price.
