    Full Description

The Skeletool CX is the top of the range Skeletool and includes Aluminium inserts in the handles. It's a tool that is more than just a knife but without the bulk and weight of a full multi tool as only the most used features are included. The Skeletool CX has been paired down and stripped out to be super light and minimalist whilst still retaining fantastic functionality.

The blade on the Skeletool CX is made from the highest quality stainless steel, and the higher the quality the heavier it becomes. So the savings in the handle are lost to the blade. However the advantage is the blade will hold an edge for longer and wear slower, so it does not have to be sharpened so frequently.

Please note: engraving is not currently available on this tool.

I have had my Skeletool CX now for 3 years, it replaced my Leatherman Mini. I have to say it lives in my pocket, except when travelling abroad, and then it gets packed in my case. I use the clip to hold it secure in my pocket, this works brilliantly. The knife has had soooo much abuse, cutting drywall, wire stripping, food prep - you name it, its done it and still keeps an amazingly sharp edge. My only negative comment is that the spare screwdriver bit fell out after a month or too and they are hard to replace in the UK. Fortunately I still have the philips one, which is what I use the most. At parties it gets used as a bottle opener and it turns heads, everytime. A brilliant piece of totally functional hardware, from an iconic multi-tool company. Thank you.

Bought this as a replacement for the retired Super Tool. I found that I didn't need all the tools on the original, so the Skeletool was a lightweight, uncompromising alternative. Nice to have a quick access knife and the build quality is as expected of a Leatherman tool.

What a fabulous item! The carbon fibre adds to the overall effect of a truly well put together Leatherman tool. I have not given it 5 stars as the pocket clip is slightly fiddly, and although it can be removed, if still attached it is awkward to use.

I was given this multi-tool as a leaving present before travelling and it is an amazing bit of kit for it's size. I used it a lot whilst trekking in New Zealand and South America and found it very handy whilst preparing food/odd jobs and the blade quality is excellent. very sharp and folds neatly. As for the clip, I found the carabiner clip easy to use and is a great bottle opener too! great knife, very portable and discreet yet an effective.

I bought this tool to use when working in France and visiting chalets to alter ski and do minor repairs. It's light weight makes it easy to slip into a pocket in a rush and doesnt feel cumbersome at all when walking around with it. When added with the 20 piece bit set there isnt a job that it cant do. Make sure if you are using it as a tool when skiing backcountry to get the bit set as the number 3 Phillips head is essential for most ski bindings.

I was bought the Leatherman Skeletool CX as a Christmas present and was delighted from the word go. Having had a number of other multi tools and been disappointed with build quality I was very impressed with the robust nature and solid build quality. The Skeletool is very aesthetically pleasing and despite being a little on the heavy side at 142 grams, that extra weight really does make it feel like your holding a reliable tool. I've used the Skeletool mainly during climbing and white-water kayaking, the handy karabiner come bottle opener makes it easily attached upon a harness and I was very pleased to see that after leaving it in a wet buoyancy aid for over 4 weeks there were no signs of corrosion though it did require a little lubricating. Most importantly about this tool is the knife, simple razor sharp from the start and is yet to require sharpening after a year of rope cutting and sandwich making. A vital part of both my rack and boating kit.
