The sizes shown on our website are UK dress sizes. When you receive your Arc'teryx legwear the swing tag will show Canadian dress size which are 4 numbers lower than UK sizes. For example if you order a size 12 you will receive a garment that says size 8 on the swing tag, it is however the same size as a UK12

Description
The Arc'teryx Women's Alpha Jacket is a lightweight and streamlined mountaineer's GORE-TEX hardshell. Designed to enable complete freedom of movement and provide dependable protection from the elements, the Alpha Jacket is designed for climbers pushing it in the harshest conditions. The Alpha Jacket is made from a combinations of super durable 40 denier GORE-TEX PRO Most Rugged on the shoulders and arms, while the body of the jacket is made from lighter, but highly abrasion resistant GORE-TEX with Hadron face fabric to improve breathability.
Most Rugged 3L GORE-TEX Pro 2.0 is the toughest and most durable waterproof fabric in the Gore-Tex range. Manufactured with an extra polyurethane element in the membrane to its lifespan and make it more abrasion resistant. It has been constructed for intense activity that may include frequent stops providing the high levels of breathability and abrasion resistance required by the climber, mountaineer or ski tourer.
The Alpha Jacket is secured with a tough Watertight Vislon zip, these heavier zips are easier to use especially with gloves on. The helmet compatible StormHood can be drawn in with just one hand, battening the hatches down but if the weather is poor and you're working hard, ventilation can be provided through the underarm pit zips.
