The Black Diamond Distance Z Poles are a super packable pole suitable for everyday use trail running, hiking or backpacking. They feature a lightweight aluminium construction which folds into three sections for maximum packability, a lightweight EVA foam grip for long distance comfort and interchangeable rubber and carbide tech tips.
Black Diamond's Z Pole system is a clever way of making poles pack down super small and being quick to deploy. To deploy the pole you just have to pull on the cord and the Speed Cones between the pole sections guide each pole section into place and lock. To collapse the pole you just have to push the button to release the lock and fold the pole away. This technology means that there's no more fiddling with poles and it's incredibly durable so they won't fail either.
