Ease of Use

Search assist plus - A small figure icon at the top of the display indicates how fast you should be moving. This pictographic guidance gives users clear orientation, whether to speed up, slow down in a controlled way, or lower the device toward the snow. 

Ghost Signal Elimination - The advanced signal verification by PIEPS ensures that only signals from avalanche transceivers are displayed – filtering out any “ghost signals” from other sources.

Circular Receiving Range - PIEPS devices have a so-called “circular receiving range”. This means that the X and Y antennas are equally strong during the coarse search (max. 10% power difference in the best coupling position).
This almost circular reception characteristic leads to a simpler and more efficient coarse search.

Interference Protection System

This unique technology compensates for the influence of electronic and metallic interference to the transmitting device by analysing and adapting to the interfering source. Thus, the Mini IPS delivers the maximum transmit power. Therefore, in case of emergency, users of the Mini IPS is better protected against  interferences from personal items which could minimize the transmitting power.
