Sea To Summit Ether Light XR Insulated

The Sea To Summit Ether Light XR Insulated mat is a very thick 3 season insulated mat which maintains an impressively low weight given its specs. Sea To Summit have achieved this by combining their innovative Air Sprung Cells with a lightweight 30/40D nylon fabric and reflective Thermal Core insulation.

The Ether Light XR Insulated is constructed from 30D on the top and 40D on the bottom nylon and TPU fabric. This is lightweight and quiet. It's also slightly grippy to stop you sliding down the mat on those not quite level campsites. Thermal Core insulation fills the inner space, and includes a film that reflects infra-red radiation preventing heat loss due to convection and internal air movement. The inside of the mat also has an anti-microbial treatment to stop mould building up.

At 10cm thick the Ether Light XR Insulated is one of the thickest mats available, however starting at just 525g in regular it is still light enough to be in the short list for fast and light enthusiasts. The Summit Ether Light XR is a serious do it all mat, from comfortable basecamp and glamping trips when you don't want to sacrifice comfort, to Alpine bivi missions where every gram counts. A real all round use mat.
