Description

Dynafit Ski Crampons or Harscheisen. Ski Crampons allow you to continue climbing in icy conditions when your skins won't grip. Essential for longer tours where hard conditions will be found.

These crampons are compatible with all the Dynafit and Plum ski bindings.

The Dynafit first aid kit is designed to fit inside the crampons to save space.

The crampons come in 5 sizes and are colour coded: 90mm (Blue), 100mm (Orange), 110mm (Black), 120mm (red) and 130mm (Gold). Choose one that is wider than your ski (measured at the toe piece) but the closer the better.

90 mm, blue (99 g)
100 mm, orange (102g)
110 mm, black (105g)
120 mm, red (115g)
130 mm, gold (125g)

The above measurements are the internal width of the crampon. So a 90mm crampon will be fine for a ski with up to a 89mm waist, but not for one with a 90mm or above waist.

Excellent price and service, and even better price as I used up my reward points from god knows when I last purchased from Facewest. Used the standard delivery and they arrived in 3 days. The Dynafit ski crampons are so light compared to the ones I used with the Fritschi Diamir bindings I used to have. Plus I can't wait to use them as they are closer to the ski and therefore will be more effective in hard snow conditions (I wish I had pin bindings with these back in April when in Iceland, as we had to use the ski crampons every day).

I've only used them for 2 days touring, but my overall impression is very good. With skis off they are easy to fit. They bite into the snow well and stop you from slipping backwards when things get icy, they're also pretty easy to walk in and don't make skinning too much more difficult. On angled slopes, when only one edge is engaged they still work well, but tend to get a bit twisted, I don't think this is a problem. They can be put on without taking skis off, but it's quite difficult to do on icy slopes as it involves going onto one knee with skis in walk mode.
