The Rab Mythic -12 represents the pinnacle of ultralight insulation, designed specifically for those "fast and light" alpine missions where every gram is scrutinized but warmth is non-negotiable. By combining 900FP European Goose Down with cutting-edge TILT (Thermo Ionic Lining Technology), Rab has created a bag that punches well above its weight class in terms of thermal efficiency.

The core of the Mythic -12's performance lies in its sophisticated construction. The outer is crafted from 10D Pertex Quantum, a fabric so lightweight it allows the down to loft instantly and fully. Inside, the TILT lining acts like an emergency blanket, reflecting radiant body heat back to the sleeper without compromising breathability or pack size. To eliminate cold spots, Rab uses L.O.F.T 3D baffle technology. This weight-saving design reduces down migration and is complemented by sidewall baffles that make the bag particularly comfortable for side sleepers.

Inside this ultralight shell is 590g of 900FP European Goose Down. To ensure the bag continues to perform in damp alpine bivis or humid tents, the down is treated with a Grangers fluorocarbon-free hydrophobic finish. While not making the bag waterproof, it allows the down to retain its loft and insulation properties far better than untreated down in real-world mountain conditions.
