Mountain Equipment Atmo Jacket

The Mountain Equipment Atmo Jacket is a lightweight and minimalist Alpinist's waterproof shell made with Mountain Equipment's 3-Layer DRILITE waterproof fabric. The Alpine fit is designed to give comfort and freedom of movement required on the most difficult routes. At just 360g and with a stripped back features set of just one pocket and Helmet Compatible hood the Atmo Jacket is the perfect emergency layer, while the 40 denier outer fabric is still durable enough to handle some abuse.

The one large zipped chest pocket will take a topo or some snacks for quick access and the large Super Alpine HC Hood will go over a climbing helmet and can be adjusted for a close fit using the Cohaesive cordlocks. The cuffs feature hook and loop adjustment to create a tight seal and the hem features dual tether hem drawcords so the back and front of the jacket can be adjusted separately.

Mountain Equipment developed the Atmo Jacket in close collaboration with their team of climbers who needed a lightweight and minimalist waterproof shell that still gave them the waterproof protection required on the biggest and most committing routes. It's already seen use by Tim Miller on the 7 day first ascent of Surma-Sarovar in the Himalaya and by Tom Livingstone on K7 Main in the Karakorum, both in difficult and fast changing weather. However that doesn't mean the Atmo is just for people on the cutting edge of Himalayan climbing. The Atmo jacket's low weight, breathability and packability make it the perfect emergency shell for alpine and UK climbers and it will stand up as an all day shell on wet days in the mountains when you are forced to just go for a walk.
