The Patagonia R2 TechFace Hoody is a cold weather mid-layer which can also be used as an outer layer in cool conditions. It provides warmth and breathability with the added benefits of abrasion and weather resistance for extended versatility in shifting mountain conditions. The R2 TechFace Hoody is constructed from 77% recycled Polyester with a double weave high loft lining, which is soft and warm next to the skin, and wicks moisture very effectively. The durable outer has a smooth finish that an outer layer will go over easily. It is also DWR treated to shed moisture. The R2 TechFace Hoody is a great cold weather Ski Touring mid-layer that can be used as an outer layer when things warm up in spring.
The R2 TechFace Hoody features an under-the-helmet hood with elastic binding. There's one left-chest pocket and two high handwarmer pockets that are clean-finished and harness and pack compatible. The two interior drop-in pockets are handy for sunglasses or spare liner gloves. The stretch cuffs slide up over the forearms and stay in place effectively. The hem is elasticated to keep in warmth.
