The Arc'teryx Nuclei SV Parka is the warmest synthetic belay jacket in the Arc'teryx range, designed specifically for climbers operating in extreme alpine environments. This rugged parka features a cutting-edge Hadron LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) grid face fabric that combines exceptional abrasion resistance with ultralight weight - matching the durability of fabrics twice its weight. An FC0 DWR finish offers effective, PFAS-free water resistance, while the 20D Pertex diamond-filament ripstop liner adds breathability and toughness using 100% recycled nylon. The jacket is insulated with Coreloft Continuous synthetic insulation - 190g in the body for maximum warmth, and 90g in the hood and sleeves to balance heat retention with mobility. Built for the committed climber, the Nuclei SV delivers durable performance in cold, wet, and wind-blasted conditions.
Designed for belay stances, alpine bivvies, and sub-zero summit pushes, the Nuclei SV Parka is packed with features that enhance functionality in the field. A helmet-compatible, Coreloft-insulated StormHood features a five-point adjustment system to ensure full coverage and peripheral vision whether you're wearing a helmet or not. The regular fit is tailored to comfortably layer over insulation and shell layers, while a two-way front zip allows easy harness access. Stretch-knit cuffs help seal out drafts, and multiple pockets - including two handwarmer pockets, a zipped chest pocket, and two large internal dump pockets - offer ample storage for gloves, snacks, and essentials.
