Petzl Nao RL

The Petzl Nao RL is the latest iteration of Petzl innovative Nao headtorch which features their reactive lighting technology. The Nao RL gives an impressive 1500 lumens maximum output yet burn times are still impressively high when used in Reactive mode. This iteration of the Nao is designed for trail and ultra running and uses a similar light unit to the innovative Petzl Iko.

The reactive lighting technology measures the amount of light being bounced back at the torch and adjusts the power and beam pattern accordingly, so that the relative light level remains the same. This allows you to have a useful level of light last a long time from a pretty small battery without having to continually adjust the power setting yourself.

The Nao RL uses a custom replaceable 3200mAh Lithium battery which is charged via USB. The battery is easily swapped out allowing you to carry spares for ultra long distance events.

The headstrap is mostly cord with some elastic for a secure fit, which provides excellent support for the battery and the lamp on both your head and helmet. The cord is designed to be cinched up when in your pack so it doesn't come out in a tangled mess and there's an optional top strap, which is included.
