The foam filling ensures support across the whole surface of the mat, and allows the mat to self inflate most of the way while you get on wiht setting up the rest of your camp.

The Captain Comfort Deluxe is covered in a stretch fabric for a soft-touch feel which makes the mat comfortable to sleep on without a sheet or cover and eliminates the clammy feel that smoother mats can get in warmer conditions.
